Teaching Conferences PDF Print E-mail

Overview

Patient care is the core of any training program in general medicine. The experience becomes focused through teaching conferences and rounds. Our teaching attending rounds take place outside of work rounds.

Scheduled Educational Conferences

  • Two days designated "Noon Report" with the Chief of Medicine, consisting of resident case presentations.
  • Medical Grand Rounds featuring local and national speakers in a variety of formats every Friday morning.
  • Morbidity and Mortality takes place on Friday mornings once a month.
  • On Tuesdays, the autopsies of the week are reviewed at Morgue Conference, which is led by the Chief of Medicine and a teaching pathologist.
  • Our popular Board Review course takes place every Spring, and targets senior residents
  • Visiting Professor lecture series
